HERE’S WHAT YOU DO
STEP 1: DOWNLOAD THE FREE SVG FILE
The first thing you’ll need to do is get the free SVG file you’ll use for this project. I keep all the SVG files I use for the projects I make in my SVG Library. These SVG files work with Cricut and Silhouette machines, as well as many others. This library is open to everyone and is free! You can access the library here. Look for the file called Elf Shoe BA2414. It will be listed under the Craftmas 2024 Category-Day 14.
STEP 2: CUT THE PIECES
Open the design in your cutting software and resize it to 11.5″ wide, let the height adjust proportionally. Once everything is sized correctly, cut out the pieces with your Cricut or Silhouette.
Once the cardstock is finished cutting, remove it from the cutting mat. It’s best to flip over the mat and gently bend it over until the cardstock releases. This way, the cardstock shouldn’t get bent.
STEP 3: ASSEMBLE THE ELF SHOE
Add some glue to the long scalloped piece
Attach it to the top of the elf shoe
Flip the shoe over and add glue to the front part of the shoe
Press the two ends together.
Place a stack of Oreo cookies inside a cellophane bag and tie off at the top.
Slip the bag of Oreos inside the elf shoe.
Tie some ribbon tightly around the top of the shoe.
Tie the ribbon in a bow and trim off the ends.
Add glue to both of the scalloped circles.
Press the circles together over the tip of the shoe.
And that’s it. This Oreo Cookie elf shoe is complete!
