HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED

HERE’S WHAT YOU DO

STEP 1: DOWNLOAD THE FREE SVG FILE

The first thing you’ll need to do is get the free SVG file you’ll use for this project.  I keep all the SVG files I use for the projects I make in my SVG Library.  These SVG files work with Cricut and Silhouette machines, as well as many others. This library is open to everyone and is free!  You can access the library here. Look for the file called Christmas Tic Tac Toe BA2425. It will be listed under the Craftmas 2024 Category-Day 25.

STEP 2: CUT THE VINYL DESIGNS

Open the design in your software program. Resize the design to 3″ wide.  Cut the red and green designs out of adhesive vinyl and cut the black part of the design out of black heat transfer vinyl.  Be sure to mirror the black design before cutting it out.

Weed away the excess vinyl from the adhesive vinyl.

Use a weeding tool to remove the small piece from inside the stocking.

Repeat the steps on the heat transfer vinyl.

STEP 3: APPLY THE VINYL

Remove one of the vinyl trees from the vinyl backing, just like you would remove a sticker.

Place it on the center of one of the glass marbles and press it down with your fingers.

Repeat until all the shapes have been applied.

If the bags you use have lining inside, put a piece of parchment paper or a Teflon sheet inside to prevent the lining from sticking together when heat is applied.

Position the design onto the bag so it looks straight and centered from left to right.  You’ll want the bottom of the design to be about an 1/2″ up from the bottom of the bag.

Use a mini press or iron and apply firm pressure to the heat transfer vinyl.

Once all of the vinyl has been pressed, pull off the clear carrier sheet.

And that’s all there is to this project.  Now you have a fun Christmas version of Tic Tac Toe and a great place to keep all the pieces!
