- Cardstock (I used red, white, black, and glitter gold)
- Liquid Glue
- Money
- Boning Tool (Optional)
- Electronic cutter (cricut explore or maker, silhouette or other cutter)
- Cut File – Santa Suit Money Card BA2401 (click here to get the SVG file for free from my free SVG Library)
HERE’S WHAT YOU DO
STEP 1: DOWNLOAD THE FREE SVG FILE
The first thing you’ll need to do is get the free SVG file you’ll use for this project. I keep all the SVG files I use for the projects I make in my SVG Library. These SVG files work with Cricut and Silhouette machines, as well as many others. This library is open to everyone and is free! You can access the library here. Look for the file called Santa Suit Money Card BA2401. It will be listed under the Craftmas 2024 Category-Day 1.
STEP 2: CUT THE PIECES FOR THE MONEY CARD
Open the design in your software program. Resize the design to 4″ high and let the width adjust proportionally. If you are using Cricut Design Space, you will need to ungroup and separate the three layers. Then, select the black layer and the perforation lines and click attach. *Note, the perforation lines are hard to see once the design is on the canvas screen, but they are there and you need to attach them to cut this project correctly.
Once the first piece of cardstock is finished cutting, remove it from the cutting mat. You’ll want to slightly bend the cutting mat and carefully pull off the cardstock.
Load on the next color and repeat until everything has been cut.
STEP 3: ASSEMBLE THE MONEY CARD
For each money card, you will need five pieces: the red back layer, 2 black pieces for the belt (one is solid and one has cutout circles), the white piece for the fur, and the gold piece for the belt buckle.

Add glue to the back of the black piece.

Place the gold buckle piece on top of the circles.

And that’s it. Now you have a super cute way to give money for Christmas!
