About Burton Avenue

I’m Angie, the creator of Burton Avenue and I’m here to help you learn to love your electronic cutter. Electronic cutters are amazing machines! They are the dream machine for any crafter (don’t know what an electronic cutter is? read this). But, as amazing as the machines are, sometimes they are just intimidating to learn to use. Sadly, I hear it over and over.  “I got my machine over a year ago, but it’s still sitting in the box. I have no idea how to use it.”

Ten years ago, I was in the exact same place.  When I got my first cutter, I was clueless on how to use it. Since it was never used in our family business, I was lucky enough to inherit it. But, it was old and didn’t have a manual. There weren’t online tutorials or YouTube videos to teach me how to use it. I had to figure out everything on my own. It took me a while before I knew what I was doing and even longer to really start loving my machine. Now, I use it all the time and I do LOVE it!

I don’t want you to have to go through what I went through with my machine. So, I created Burton Avenue, a great place to learn how to use your electronic cutter. Not only will I teach you how to use your machine, but I’ll also show you how to make tons of awesome projects along the way.  From t-shirts and pillows, to custom doormats and wooden signs, I share step-by-step tutorials so you can create your own version of the projects I share.  You are going to LOVE your machine!

FREE Cut Files

Not only do I share lots of great tutorials and project ideas, but I also share tons of free cut files for your machine. Usually referred to as SVG files, these cut files are used in conjunction with your machine’s software to tell your machine what to cut out. Nearly every project I make uses a cut file and I share those for free in my FREE SVG Library.  I also share a new limited-time free cut file every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
