HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED

- Glue

HERE’S WHAT YOU DO
STEP 1: DOWNLOAD THE FREE SVG FILE
The first thing you’ll need to do is get the free SVG file you’ll use for this project. I keep all the SVG files I use for the projects I make in my SVG Library. These SVG files work with Cricut and Silhouette machines, as well as many others. This library is open to everyone and is free! You can access the library here. Look for the file called Merry Christmas Popcorn Box BA2306. It will be listed under the Craftmas 2022 Category-Day 6.
STEP 2: CUT THE CARDSTOCK PIECES
Open the designs in your software program. Keep everything grouped together and resize the design to 10.5″ high. This will make a box that is about 3.5″ x 5″ If you are using Cricut Design Space, you will need to select the design and click attach.
Once the cardstock is finished cutting, carefully remove it from the cutting mat. You’ll want to slightly bend the cutting mat and carefully pull off the cardstock.
STEP 3: ASSEMBLE THE BOX
Fold back on all the perforation lines.
Add some glue along the left tab of one of the pieces.
Place the other piece over the tab. Match up the edge with the perforation lines.
Now, add some glue to the other left tab.
Fold the tab back.
Fold the box in half to attach the two ends together.
Once the glue is dry, you can open the box up.
Add some glue to all three tabs of the bottom piece.
Carefully place the tabs inside the box.
Make sure the box is square.
Then, reach inside the box and press the tabs against the side of the box.
Fill the box with a bag of Christmas popcorn (or other holiday treats).
And this project is finished!
