HERE’S WHAT YOU DO
STEP 1: DOWNLOAD THE FREE SVG FILE
The first thing you’ll need to do is get the free file you’ll use for this project. I keep all the files I use for the projects I make in my SVG Library. These files work with Cricut and Silhouette machines, as well as many others. This library is open to everyone and is free! You can access the library here. Look for the file called Christmas Money Cards BA2101. It will be listed under the Craftmas 2022 Category-Day 1.
STEP 2: CUT THE CARDSTOCK PIECES
Open the designs in your software program. There are two versions of the design, they are both PNG files. Since this is a Print and Cut project, there’s not an SVG file in the zip folder. Resize the height on both designs to 5″. Let the width adjust proportionally. Print the designs on white cardstock and then use your machine to cut them out.
Once the cardstock is finished cutting, remove it from the cutting mat. You’ll want to slightly bend the cutting mat and carefully pull off the cardstock.
STEP 3: ASSEMBLE THE CARDS
To make these cards, you’ll need some type of paper bill or a tube of lip balm. For my lip balm, I cut a small piece of adhesive Christmas vinyl and just wrapped it around the tube.
Place a rolled-up bill or tube of lip balm in the clear plastic pouch.
Remove the protective backing from the adhesive.
Place the clear pouch right over the white rectangle of the printable and press down.
On the tall card, you can thread a piece of ribbon through the hole at the top.
Tie the ribbon in a knot.
Trim off the ends.
And that’s it. Now you have a super cute way to gift money or lip balm for Christmas!
