I love the look of big chunky candle holders, but they sure can be expensive. I really wanted to add some to our Christmas mantle, but instead of buying them, I decided I would save some money and make them myself . I had lots of different ideas for the vinyl, but in the end, I decided to make something that looks like a Christmas sweater.
To make the candleholders, I used a cardboard mailing tube and some deck post caps. I already had the tubes so these cost about $3 each. Once the vinyl design was complete, they were very easy to put together. I just cut the tube down to size, painted everything, added the vinyl and then glued the pieces together.
