HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED
- Cardstock (I used a Christmas print and red)

- Cut File – Christmas Gift Treat Box BA2410 (click here to get the SVG file for free from my free SVG Library)
HERE’S WHAT YOU DO
STEP 1: DOWNLOAD THE FREE SVG FILE
The first thing you’ll need to do is get the free SVG file you’ll use for this project. I keep all the SVG files I use for the projects I make in my SVG Library. These SVG files work with Cricut and Silhouette machines, as well as many others. This library is open to everyone and is free! You can access the library here. Look for the file called Christmas Gift Treat Box BA2410. It will be listed under the Craftmas 2024 Category-Day 10.
STEP 2: CUT THE CARDSTOCK PIECES
Open the design in your cutting software and resize it to 11″ wide. This makes a box that is about 2″ x 2″ x 2″. The bottom of the box has perforation lines that will be cut with a regular blade. If you’re using Cricut Design Space, ungroup the design. Then, you’ll need to attach the perforation lines to the shape behind it. Once everything is sized correctly, cut out the pieces with your Cricut or Silhouette.
Once the cardstock is finished cutting, remove it from the cutting mat. It’s best to flip over the mat and gently bend it over until the cardstock releases. This way, the cardstock shouldn’t get bent.
STEP 3: ASSEMBLE THE GIFT BOX
Grab all your pieces. On the large piece, the two flaps with the bows are the front and back. The flaps with the slits are the sides. Start by adding glue to one of the rectangle strips with a slit.
Attach it to the side of the large piece, matching up the slits. Repeat with the other side.
Glue the strips with bows onto the front and the back, lining up the bows.
Next, fold along all the perforation lines.
Bring the front and back together and match up the bows.
Next, fold over one of the sides. The bow should go right through the slit. It might be a little tight, but it should go through.
Fill the box up with Christmas candy or small toys.
Fold over the other side, The bow should go through that slit, too.
And that’s it, this cute little box is finished!
