Today, I’m showing you how to make these easy apple gift card holders. I love giving gift cards to teachers as a way to say thank you for all their hard work. I love to make them extra special by making a cute card or envelope. These Apple Gift Card Holders are the perfect way to dress up your gift cards and make them way more fun to give away. Read on for the full tutorial!

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED
- Cardstock (red, green, and brown)
- White Adhesive Vinyl
- Transfer Tape
- Weeding Tool
- Scraper
- Liquid Glue
- Gift Card
- Electronic cutter (cricut explore or maker, silhouette or other cutter)
- Cut File – Apple Gift Card Holder BA2465 (click here to get the SVG file for free from my free SVG Library)
STEP 1: DOWNLOAD THE FREE SVG FILE
The first thing you’ll need to do is get the free SVG file you’ll use for this project. I keep all the SVG files I use for the projects I make in my SVG Library. These SVG files work with Cricut and Silhouette machines, as well as many others. This library is open to everyone and is free! You can access the library here. Look for the file called Apple Gift Card Holder BA2465. It will be listed under school/teacher category.
STEP 2: CUT THE CARDSTOCK AND VINYL PIECES
Open the design in your software program. Keep everything grouped together and resize the design to 8″ high. This will fit a standard-size gift card. Once everything is resized, you can cut the cardstock and vinyl pieces. If you’re using Cricut Design Space, you’ll need to ungroup the layers. Then click on the red pouch and perforation lines and attach them together. Do the same with the brown background piece and oval-shaped cut lines. If you’re not using a Cricut, you’ll need to move the white parts of the design off the apple and leaf shapes. Cut the red, brown, and green pieces out of cardstock and the white pieces out of vinyl
STEP 3: PREPARE THE VINYL DESIGN
Weed away the excess vinyl from around the design.

Cut a piece of transfer tape a little larger than your design and place the vinyl on top of it.
*If your transfer tape is extra sticky, you might want to rub over it with a towel or t-shirt to remove some of the tackiness. This will prevent the transfer tape from pulling up and ripping the cardstock when you apply the vinyl*

Trim off the excess transfer tape and cut apart the different pieces.

STEP 4: ASSEMBLE THE GIFT CARD
Fold along all the perforation lines of the pouch.

Then, slide the holder into the pouch on the back of the apple.
