Thanksgiving will be here soon and this is a great little project that is perfect for the big day. I remember when I was little, my mom would always help me make a cute favor to put on the  table by each plate. I still enjoy making favors for everyone and here is a fun idea for your Thanksgiving table.

Weeding tool
Cut File (see below)

Here is what you do:

1.  Cut out all the pieces (you’ll need to cut 2 of the circles). I used my electronic cutter, but most of the shapes are pretty simple and can be cut by hand. (If you’re using an electronic cutter and the 2″ favor tins, the entire cut file should measure 8.21″ x 5.47“)

2. Use the ink pad to distress the edges. I did this by light brushing the edges of the cardstock back and forth over the ink pad.
3. Next, assemble the face
4. Assemble the feathers as shown.
 5. Use the foam mounting squares to attach a circle to the lid.  Then, use the squares to attach the head, followed by the feet.  I used the mounting squares because it adds a little dimension between each piece.

 6. Glue the feathers to the back of the tin. Make sure when you stand it up,
the edges of the outside feathers touch at the bottom. This will keep your tin from rolling.
 7. Attach the other circle to the back of the tin over the feathers.
8. Fill with some tasty treats
9.  Put on the lid
Imagine a whole table of these little guys – how fun and festive.

So stinkin’ cute!
