I don’t usually do potpourri, but last year my daughter decided we needed to change that.  The day after Thanksgiving, we made up a mixture of stove top potpourri.  I loved how it made my house smell. I loved it so much, I decided to share it with my family and friends.  But, as with most neighbor gifts we give, creating a cute presentation is one of the most fun parts.  So, I set out to find some supplies that would make this gift extra cute.

Christmas Neighbor Gift Idea-Stove top Potpourri

I found a spice mix on Amazon that was perfect.  It smelled great, plus it had star anise in it, which I thought were so cute. I put that at the bottom of a mason jar, then I layered some cranberries, pine leaves, and a few dried orange slices. The, just empty the contents in a pot, add water, and simmer to start enjoying the wonderful scent of Christmas.

I love the pretty saying I added to the outside of the jar. It looks like etched glass, but it is really just vinyl I cut with my digital cutter. I found a free printable from here and placed it under my lid.  Then, I tied a few pieces of raffia around the top of the jar. So festive and pretty!
